This is the updated version of our highly successful course, FF101 Introduction to the International Freight Forwarding Supply Chain. Designed by My Freight Career (RTO 90489), it is the only self-paced course available in Australia covering essential Freight Forwarding fundamentals and delivered entirely online.
The course provides an in-depth understanding of the international transport supply chain including how goods are exported from and imported to Australia, and the roles and responsibilities of the Australian Freight Forwarder.
Delivered in written, audio, and video formats to suit multiple learning styles and preferences, the course also includes knowledge-check questions throughout and a final assessment at the end to give learners confidence they have understood and acquired the required knowledge.

- The modes of international transport and the equipment needed
- The Australian international transport supply chain
- The roles and responsibilities of the Australian Freight Forwarder, with a detailed analysis of export and import processes, as well as the required documentation and legislation that must be complied with
- Mapping of the logistical movements for the different types of shipment services
- International transport charges and Incoterms
- Packaging and labelling requirements, and safe packing and loading.
Who is this course for?
The course has been designed for those new to the freight forwarding industry, those wishing to learn more and enter the industry, or current industry employees needing a refresher.
Assessment
The course is self-paced and includes knowledge check questions throughout to help validate your learning and understanding. At the end of the course, there is a short assessment that requires an 80% pass mark for successful completion. You have three attempts to achieve the pass mark and can go back through the course material to refresh your knowledge.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion from My Freight Career.
Delivery Mode
The course is delivered online via My Freight Career’s Cloud Assess e-learning platform which can be accessed by the student at any time that best suits their needs. The course is delivered via an interactive video that the student will complete at their own pace and in their own time. This is a self-paced, self-study program, which means the student will not attend scheduled training sessions. The student can determine when and where they complete the course.
Once you have successfully enrolled in the course with My Freight Career, you will receive your Cloud Assess login, and once you log in to Cloud Assess, you will have access to the course material. The course will contain:
- Learning content, delivered in written, audio and video modes
- Knowledge-check activities to check your understanding and knowledge along the way
- A final short assessment to be completed at the conclusion to confirm you have gained knowledge & understanding of international freight forwarding
Entry Requirements
No prior industry knowledge or experience is needed.
To successfully complete the course, a good level of English Literacy and Language skills is required. You will also need a computer with internet access to complete the course.
Course Duration
The course will take approximately 3-4 hours to complete. However, as it is self-paced, the learner can log in and out of the course multiple times to complete it at a time that best suits their needs.
Learners have 2 weeks to complete the course from the date their enrolment is finalised.

Who is My Freight Career?
My Freight Career (MFC) is both an RTO (Registered Training Organisation), and GTO (Group Training Organisation). Will I receive Certificate after successfully completing the course?
Yes, My Freight Career will email you a Certificate of Completion within 72 hours of completing the course. Please note, this is a non-accredited course.
What support is provided?
During the hours of 0830 to 1700 AEST any support request sent via e-mail will be answered by one of our qualified and experienced trainers. All requests sent outside of these hours will be answered at the earliest convenience of our trainers the next day.
Do I have to complete the course in one go, or can I log in and out when needed?
You may login as many times as you like to complete the course and your work can be saved at anytime. You will have 14 days to complete the course, starting from the date of your registration. After this period the course will become inactive.
When does the course start?
As the course is self-paced the start date will be once you choose to enrol and payment is received.
What happens if I do not know the answer to a question or can't complete an assessment?
You can attempt to answer a question as many times as needed. There are no restrictions on the number of times you can attempt a question.
Can I have access to my training records?
Your records are securely stored. Please contact My Freight Career if you need your training records (you will be required to verify your details).
