Joseph Meli

Director

I am one of the Directors of the business and started the business back in 2000, I have been working in the International Freight & Logistics industries since the age of 18, 30 years ago. I am a bit of Mr Fix it, involved in the day to day running of the business from marketing, sales, compliance, expansion, staff, government negotiations but most importantly making coffee each morning.
Being part of a company that initiated the beginning of trainee ships through a structured nationally endorsed program and watching it evolve and help shape and create the next generation of employers and leaders is what’s most gratifying, it’s a legacy that I’m proud to be a part of. None of this would have been possible without being surrounded by the most passionate of people working in the business , it’s really them who are the true instigators of positive change, and of the course our partner Host employers who from the outset new of the importance of the program and have been supporting ever since.

Outside of work Family is the thing that gives me the most enjoyment, they keep me grounded and appreciative.

Things I like to do outside work is train and create happy memories with the people i care about.

Alisa Scaffaro

Admin & Support

• My main role is to provide Administration support to the Melbourne team, Jody and Brendan. My role includes creating job advertisements for the traineeship program, screening resumes of potential candidates for traineeships in International Freight Forwarding, Logistics and Warehousing Operations. I also conduct phone interviews and face to face interviews for potential candidates and liaise with host companies to secure placement of trainees.

• I have attained a Bachelor Degree in Social Science, and extensive background/ work experience in aviation ground handling and Flight Training Operations.

• I have worked at MFC for one month.

• I am self-motivated, adaptable and always striving for excellence, with an aim to continuously grow and learn. My Freight Career has allowed me to embrace the positive job satisfaction of successfully placing a Trainee candidate with a suitable host company.

• I enjoy spending time with family and friends and travelling to new destinations.
